The Captain of Operations is responsible for the supervision and coordination of all patrol division and Detective Burueau personnel.  The Captain of Operations shall also have responsibility for the general supervision and control of the Department's Internal Affairs Investigative function.

In addition, the Captain is responsible for the efficient performance of required duties in conformance with the rules, regulations and policies specified by the Administration and Operations Manual.  In the absence of the Chief of Police, he may assume additional powers, duties and responsibilities determined by the Chief of Police.
