Members of the Northampton Police Department are committed to working towards providing a safe and secure community. While every member of the department works diligently to accomplish this goal, we understand that establishing and maintaining strong relationships with the community is the key to success.
The department has a variety of programs that work to enhance our partnership with the community. Established programs include Citizen Police Academy (CPA), the Ride Along Program and our participation with TRIAD. In addition to these programs, many members of the Police Department engage in a wide variety of other community educational and outreach programs. Our officers attend career days, provide training to paramedic students, domestic violence advocates and social workers, and have participated as guests lectures for our local schools on a wide range of law enforcement topics.
